SUPERMARKET GAME
Sunday, November 9, 2008
In this game, children will get to experience a shopping trip in the supermarket. They will have to listen extra carefully to the instructions so as to perform the task. Eg. If the character asks for items that can be stored in the cupboard, children must locate the items and drag them into the location.
This game is an interactive and exciting game for children, aged 5 and above. The instructions given during the game is short and precise which makes it easy for children to follow. In addition, if a wrong item is picked, the character will announce and ask the child to try again. Also, if a child is unsure of what item is on the supermarket in the game, all he has to do is to put the cursor on the item and the character will say the name of the item. This game facilitates independence, as the clear and precise instruction allows children to explore freely.
The use of “DW” as a character in the game allows children to better relate to the game as the cartoon show is very common and their prior experiences to their trip to supermarkets
